I have no idea what to write. I feel as if I’m late for an appointment and I don’t know what its for so I just keep hurrying in hopes that by the time I get there I’ll remember what the hell I’m there for.
Nothing yet…hmm…okay, I’ll ad lib cause that’s what I’m hoping to be someday, an ad lib…

A Day in the life of the Recipe Doctor:)

Here are some Recipe Doctor pics with students learning how to read food labels. I love to empower kids with the ability to self advocate for their own health choices:)

Oh I so miss having a 2 1/2 year old! 13 year olds are cool to:)

That’s the name of a new show you can get from itunes. Its incredible. Its a spin off of Tim and Eric, which is also hysterical.
I was in the airport and had to stop watching because I was laughing obnoxiously loud.
Also, we all had to get weird yellow fever shots to go to Venezuela. Hmm….

patmonahan:Dear Pat, on my website you will find information on a highly respected foundation created at the University of Wisconsin. The “Healthy Classrooms Foundation” was established just over 3 years ago with the goal of creating nutritional awareness for children through the classroom. I’m proud to be aligned with this prestigious group of professionals, not only as a symposium presenter but also as one of the first grant recipients in 2009. The grant, as well as the recognition of the foundation has enabled me to take my presentations to the next level. On my site you can see pics of how the kids really get into the presentation. It’s super fun to work with these kids…I’m so blessed to have found an occupation that I have such a blast doing:) The next symposium date is in April 27th I think…

One more feel good note that I have to pass along to you. Don’t know if you will ever get this but I hope you do if only for this. I do a lot of work with kids that have Autism. These kids need sensory regulation to get their bodies ready for school everyday. I usually do this in the form of a core workout with one of my little friends every morning. We do it to music and one of the songs I put on my a.m. workout CD is “Words”. My friend really took this song to heart and now sings it to me each morning before starting his day. Your song made a big difference in his life as he faces the world from a different perspective than you and I. Each day is a struggle for these kids to conform to a world that was not created to suit thier needs. Thank-you for putting that song out there, it has touched a life I care very much about.

Those were the famous words of my friend and manager, Jonathan, when I was upset about something a year ago. I was pissed that we were about to be on CSI NY with a few celebrities including Kim Kardashian and she Tweeted about the show and named everyone in the show except Train. I was like, “Whah…

patmonahan:Pat…you are speaking my language! I’m so passionate about the topic of children’s nutritional health. I would love to be involved. How?

Sincerely,

The Recipe Doctor
